Sutton Engineering Group was engaged to supply and fabricate two heavy-duty crane grillages for the ANZ Building redevelopment at 161 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, supporting the installation of tower cranes for the project. Each grillage weighed approximately 20 tonnes and was manufactured using custom 1200WB278 welded beams to meet the project’s structural and load requirements.

Fabrication was completed in SEG’s St Marys workshop and included heavy structural welding and trial fitment to verify dimensional accuracy prior to delivery. All steelwork was then abrasively blasted and finished with a protective coating system to provide durability and corrosion resistance suitable for inner-city construction conditions.
